Waiting is a social platform operated by Henko Technologies, LLC ("Waiting," "we," "us," "our") that connects servers (waitstaff) and patrons (regulars) through profiles, schedules, and USDC tipping. The app is available on iOS and Android and at peoplewhowait.com.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account, including a valid email address or phone number and your true date of birth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and biometric authentication.
You may not create multiple accounts. Duplicate accounts may be suspended without notice.
If you set your profile to public, your name, photo, workplace, schedule, and profile information may be visible to all users and appear on the live map and public profile pages (e.g., peoplewhowait.com/p/yourname). You may change your profile to private at any time.
Private profiles are not shown on the public map or in general search. Your profile is only visible to users you have personally invited via your QR code. Subscribers to your private profile can see your schedule and status.
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Waiting a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your content within the app and on associated web pages for the purpose of operating the service.
You may not post or transmit content that:
Fees may change with 30 days' notice to existing users.
Your wallet uses multisig technology requiring two of three keys (your device key, the Waiting application key, and a recovery key) to authorize transactions. You are responsible for securing your device and not sharing your private key or recovery phrase. Waiting staff will never ask for your private key.
All on-chain transactions are final and irreversible. Waiting cannot reverse, cancel, or modify transactions once broadcast to the Solana network. Verify all recipient addresses before confirming any transaction.
You are solely responsible for reporting cryptocurrency income, tips received, and any capital gains or losses to the applicable tax authorities in your jurisdiction. Waiting does not provide tax advice. Consult a qualified tax professional. Waiting may be required to issue tax forms (such as IRS Form 1099) to users whose transactions meet applicable reporting thresholds.
We may be required to collect identity verification information and to file reports with regulatory authorities under anti-money-laundering laws. Use of the fiat on/off-ramp (powered by Transak) requires completion of Transak's KYC process.
Details of the current referral program are available at peoplewhowait.com/referral-terms. Referral rewards are subject to the terms stated there. Waiting reserves the right to modify or discontinue the referral program at any time with 30 days' notice. Fraudulent referrals (including self-referrals or coordinated abuse) will result in account suspension and forfeiture of any earned rewards.
Servers may remove subscribers, restrict their profile visibility, and report inappropriate behavior at any time. Servers are responsible for keeping their schedule and workplace information accurate.
Patrons may not harass, stalk, or contact servers through or outside the platform in an unwanted manner. Use of profile information (including schedule and location) to physically locate or follow a server outside of their normal place of work is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination and reporting to law enforcement.
Users may report violations using the in-app reporting tool. Waiting reviews reports and may, at its sole discretion, warn, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms. We are not obligated to act on every report or to provide advance notice of enforcement actions.
The Waiting app, website, logo, and all associated software are the property of Henko Technologies, LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Waiting does not guarantee uninterrupted service, the accuracy of user-provided schedule information, or the security of the Solana network or any third-party services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Waiting's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you to Waiting in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100. Waiting is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via push notification or email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
